This policy explains what personal information Image of the Hearts receives through imageofthehearts.com and when you contact us, and how we use it. Image of the Hearts is based in Sri Lanka and makes handmade needle felted artwork.
When you browse the website
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies, and the website does not set cookies when you browse it. Our hosting providers process standard technical information about each request (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) so the website can be delivered and kept secure.
The website may remember display preferences, such as grid or list view, in your own browser. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.
When you contact us
If you email or call us, message us on WhatsApp or social media, or use the enquiry form (which opens your own email app with your message ready to send), we receive the information you choose to share. This is usually your name, email address, phone number and message. For a custom portrait it can also include photos of your pet and details such as size, eye and fur colour.
When you order
To make and deliver your order we need your name, delivery address, email address and, where the carrier requires it, a phone number. Payment arrangements are agreed individually when your order is accepted; the website does not take payments.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To make a custom portrait from the photos and details you send.
- To arrange payment and delivery, and to help with any problem after delivery.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising. We do not publish your pet's reference photos without your permission.
Who receives your information
- Email: messages sent to hello@imageofthehearts.com are stored by our email service provider.
- Website hosting: our website hosting and storage providers process technical request data so the website works. They do not receive your enquiry messages.
- Delivery: your name, address and contact number are given to the postal service or courier that delivers your order.
- Payment: if you pay through a payment service, that service processes your payment under its own privacy policy.
- Social media: if you contact us on Facebook, WhatsApp or another platform, that platform's own privacy policy also applies.
Our service providers may store information outside Sri Lanka.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@imageofthehearts.com. We will also respect any further rights you have under the data protection laws that apply to you.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page. If we start using analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy before doing so.
